Hectic lifestyles, needing to grab a quick bite while on the road, being too busy to eat and getting so hungry you blow your diet, are all downfalls that we face at some point or another.

A high protein snack can help you avoid these potential pitfalls that not only sabotage your fitness goal, but sap your energy and knock your confidence.

Protein helps you to stay fuller for longer than the typical sugary snack you would pick up on the run, helping you to avoid cravings, binge-eating, and impulse food-purchases.

One of the biggest mistakes made but people trying to build muscle, lose weight or simply get fit and healthy, is not being prepared, relying on shop-bought meals and snacks. This limits your options to whatever your hunger-driven mind can track down in the moment.

That’s why I’m sharing my simple recipe for Home-Made Protein Bars – with only 10 minutes preparation time and NO COOKING REQUIRED, "too busy" stops being an excuse.

Our suggestion is to make a batch and the weekend or whenever you have time so that you have them in stock to keep you going throughout the week. 

These protein bars are great for a snack when you’re feeling peckish. So simple to make and taste amazing every time.

INGREDIENTS - Dry

  • 180 grams oats
  • 4 scoops Ark 4 Protein
  • 20 grams almonds flakes
  • 60 grams cranberries or raisins
  • ½ tsp cinnamon

INGREDIENTS – Wet

  • 60 grams peanut butter
  • 60 grams honey
  • 60 grams almond milk 
  • 60 grams apple pure’ 
  • 40 grams 70% coco solids
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Add all the dry ingredients into a bowl and stir.
  2. Add all the wet ingredients into a second bowl and melt the chocolate, stir together.
  3. Add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredient bowl and stir until everything is mixed together.
  4. Place some grease proof paper in an 8 x 8 dish. Fill the dish with the mixture and smooth out.
  5. Place in the fridge for 20 to 30 minutes
  6. Cut into 8 pieces and enjoy any time of the day
